OBJECTIVE
Develop sound public procurement policies and procedures, ensure adherence, establish an effective performance monitoring system, establish an accreditation system for procurement officials, and strengthen service delivery through compliance with sound public procurement principles.

National Procurement Commission Sri Lanka’s Development Journey
The National Procurement Commission (NPC) in Sri Lanka is a governmental body established to oversee and regulate public procurement processes in the country. It was established under the National Procurement Commission Act No. 3 of 2018.
The main objectives of the NPC include promoting transparency, fairness, and integrity in public procurement, ensuring efficient and effective use of public funds, and preventing corruption in procurement activities. The NPC is responsible for approving procurement guidelines, reviewing procurement processes, and resolving disputes related to public procurement.
Overall, the NPC plays a crucial role in improving the procurement system in Sri Lanka to enhance accountability, transparency, and good governance in the use of public resources.
